    Hi all,
Currently riding up the WA coast heading to Coral Bay , Broome etc. wondering if any WA riders or other travellers have ridden the road into 80 mile beach Caravan Park from the Highway ? Is the road ok for a big tourer ?
    Cheers for any info

No, but lets us know how you go, I think most was covered on you're original post a few months ago. Good luck.

Cheers Keith , hoping someone had ridden it recently . The feedback on WikiCamps varies from good gravel to bone jarring corrigations. Not keen on bone jarring !

    Hey gee bee,
I drove it a couple of weeks ago on the way to Darwin. Funnily enough we stayed at the park there for a few days and the conversion over a beer was "shit, this would be bloody hard to bring our bikes here". Be a quick run on a crf450 though. First few k's aren't bad but get worse further in. Plenty of cattle as well.
    Cheers Johno

Rode past the turnoff to 80 mile beach . Road looked a bit rough with gravel and dirt drifts . I woosed out and kept riding to Sandfire Roadhouse. If you are travelling up this way , Pardoo Roadhouse (140k s nth of Port Hedland) only has unleaded. Sandfire has 95 Premium but it is not next to the unleaded bowsers, it is in the middle row of bowsers next to a Diesel bowser and is usually hidden by a Caravan and car filling up.
I always carry octane booster on these trips and lent some to a BMW rider who had just filled up on 91 as we rolled up . A little later I pointed a fat boy rider to the better 95 bowser just before he filled up on 91. Going north you have around 290 km to the Roebuck Roadhouse so better fuel and fuel economy might help those with smaller tanks . Enjoying good weather in this part of WA .

Great time of the year to be up in the North, always a group of Broome riders who go out to Willare every Sunday for coffee/breakfast, enjoy your trip.

    Sound like a good run
Nothing wrong with Aussie 91RON, wouldn't stop me from filling up, that's for sure.
I get a giggle out the premium petrol crew. I run 91 in my 12:1 comp Dyna without issue, just saying
    Ride safe.

Cheers to all for the good wishes. I too like to run the highest octane available. In Broome atm and off towards Darwin , taking our time being tourists . Wherever you ride , ride safe and enjoy !!
