    Hi All,
i have an 01 FXSTS with a 21" rim/tyre and standard HD brakes. Whilst doing some regular maintenance i have notice that the outside brake pad is worn right down while the inside pad seems almost brand new. I put the Lyndall (?) pads in about 12 months ago, there was a slight drag and i wasn't overly impressed with performance, but on reflection seems something its quite right. Fairly certain i followed the service manual to get all bits back in correct order.
Also, i seem to remember reading on here about front  tyres wearing more on the RHS, and from memory it seemed more common with the 21"?
I currently have the Dunlop MH90-21.
    Cheers

cant help with the brake pads but the right hand tyre wear I remember from a thread years ago

most Aussie roads slope high in the middle the tyre to the right is on the road more

That caliper is a PAIN to get the pads in correctly and still "sliding" enough to work properly

The "spring loaded" bracket can be the problem , that and the caliper is a single piston job as well

Both those could explain the worn out V unworn pad thing.

Thanks, I will be pulling it all apart to change front tyre and brake pads so will have a good look at the caliper and all the spacings.
    Cheers

I got the mounts to put aftermarket brake calipers on your springer  either 2 piston or 4  let me know if you want one will be at most half of what a shop asks
