2013 103 TC Valve stem wear

I got bored the other weekend and decided to install the rocker locks i bought a while back and thought i would do the valve stem seals at the same time.
What i found that was a little surprising is that there's a fair bit of slop in the valves , I.E visible movement between valve guide and valve.
The valve stem measure about .275" , don't have the gear to measure the guides (heads are still on anyway)
I did read that .0038" is the wear limit but mine seems like its a fair bit more to the point that you can feel the valve self center when it contacts the seat , is this normal with a bike that has just under 30,000km on it ?
The bike doesn't get flogged but is used as a daily rider , 50 km round trip to work.

if your air cleaner is of a bad design or not serviced proper in dusty con'd's they will wear more , also type & grade of oil & how often changed , + tune of engine esp if been running hot in traffic etc , they all have a effect on the valve train , how do ya change da seal's without pull off da head ?

Picked up the heads this afternoon , defiantly look better now.
They took .010" off them to bump the compression a little , also installed Harley guides (PN 16465-06)
Now i just need to screw it together without f&%king anything up.

Have been a bit slack with putting the bike back together , went to get back into it last weekend.
After cleaning the piston tops & gasket material off the cylinders i had a quick read of the workshop manual and found:
"Do not shorten the valve by grinding the end of the stem.
Grinding removes the hardened case which results in accelerated
wear."
In the manual , this had been done by the engine re-conditioner.
Have the parts on order from M&M Cycles so hopefully will have them next weekend.

Finally got it back together apart from the air cleaner assembly and fired it up , seems ok and sounded ok with no odd noises.
Just need to hook up the catch can.
