Well its that time again.......trying a Dunlop American Elite. Got 14.5k out of the last Dunlop 407 not bad considering the high road temps and plenty of dirt sections

We get around 20,000 on the Elites, so happy with the mileage I have just put them on my Fatboy
    to see how they go.

Are these like every other dunlop tire ive ever had, dangerous in wet, bike moves all over place when hits a grove in the road, lose grip after a few ks etc
Or are they a lot better, i have refused to use dunlop a long time ago. Have they improved?

I dont give a rats about milage, its not an important factor to me when it comes to tires

Just added to my very large pile of invoices with my recent tyre purchase, this is in fact my 4th rear and third front replacement tyres. The klm vary quite significantly with the average being around 13400 km per tyre . My maths are based on the total klm the bike has done, 58800 km and the first tyre lasted 18200 leaving 40200 km done by 3 tires. Lets see how the new rear goes. And for the first time ever did not replace as a pair due to my front being replaced about 900km ago due to a huge puncture.

Got to run the new rear in torrential rain today. A vast improvement to the std rear, with no nasty moments even with white lines. Not a big fan of the American Elite front in the wet, no issues with grip but offers little feed back. They tend to steer a little funnily in the dry as well. Would at this stage recommend the rear to the tourer boys but will not try the same front again.
