08 electra glide for tall rider

    Hi everyone I am new to group. I have just got a 08 ultra and hate it. Just cause of my hieght before I just resell it ( as I have wanted one for awhile ) I would like to try to make it fit me. As myself and my misses do a few miles need it as comfortable as possible hope I can make it work.

    Welcome to the forum.
    You'll have to be more specific as to why you and your missus hate it before you can get some feedback but.........
    Handlebars to be changed alter reach and height.
    Change seat to lower you, move you forward or back etc
    Change seat to alter seating position for missus.
    Change floor board positions for rider and pillion.
    Change front and rear suspension.
    Tyre grip.

    These are just some of the quick fixes that most people do to makee their bike suit them.
    So hit the forum with your problems ........

    Hi thanks sorry I should have added I am 6ft 3 and just feel like I am all crammed up , just wondering what seats and bars everyone would suggest

    Yeah I think your right your too big for that bike ill take it off ya hands for 8 k

    Get your darling heart to take a couple of snaps with you on the bike so some suggestions can be thrown your way.

    Im 6ft2in ans a tad larger in statue. I ride an 05 Road King, I have just fitted a set of foot board relocators I sourced from the states. 
    The company is called "Tall Boys Cycles", reasonable cost, worked a treat. Reloated mt feet forward about 2inches and down approximately 1.5inches at the heel. 
    The "toe" are slighty elevated giving you a comfortable position. I have only ridden local since fitting these, but so far they feel awesome.
    Nothing worse then feeling cramped in the legs when riding.

    I have an 08 EG Standard, basically the same bike as yours. I'm only 6' tall and hated the original seat, it's the same as yours if it's the original. I bought a mustang solo, which sat me lower and further back, 98,000 kms later I still love it over standard.  Comfort wise, for me, it was the air deflector under the bottom triple clamp and deflectors on the fork legs. Having written that, yours is an ultra, so the lowers should help I guess. For 10 months of the year I run the standard height screen, my eyeline is just over the top of it, not through it. No buffeting, nothing You might want a slightly higher screen if you're taller . Hope it helps.
