....yeah loud speakers in your helmet. Won't help some Muppet reading Facebook or doing their hair from hitting ya though, but it would probably keep the EPA happy. Great.

You won't need to refuel, but the power bill comes with a flat battery, range won't be far between charges. wonder what a batty weights?

drove a customers hybrid mercedes recently and it launched, very smooth.if electric bikes are any where near the hybrid realm these might be something good ...but no sound [ v twin] and no "feel " certainly wont be everyones cup of tea. cant see touring being a viable option unless battery technology moves forward quickly. hybrid bikes...who knows.

They've been preparing for ages but still havn't put up a release date.
I think it's just a piece of bait thrown out to the market to measure response.
Same, same. Nothings changed yet and probably won't do well considering the prices charged by the thieving power companies.

It depends upon if Melbourne or Sydney ever introduce 'congestion/pollution tolls' like some other cities have.
If they do then full electric and hybrid vehicles suddenly become much more attractive for commuting.
I can't see many (or any) of us lot wanting an electric HD for commuting on but what about our kids?
20 years down the track motorcycling is going to be very different.

And with that Geoff I suspect this is aimed at.
Traditional bikers like us won't be too interested in them.
It'll be the next generation of kids that Harley will target.

They have free charging stations on the freeways in Europe. Takes 20 min to charge a car.
