Changing bars on a custom: any experience?

    Hey Guys,
    Gave a trial run today to swap over the stock buckhorn bars on my custom for Bitwell chumps. The chumps are 8 inch mini apes, but from the looks of it I will need to swap all the cable sets and extend wiring. Was bit surprised, since everywhere I read, they have been changing bars on a custom upto 10 inch without changing any of the cables.

    Have any of you guys had any experience swapping bars on the Sporty custom?

    I have 900 wide mid western bars on my custom. All the cables and brake lines had to be changed.

    I did hd chizel 10 inch. Just changed brake and clutch cable. No need to change throttle and idel. Hd are full of shit saying to buy new. The ones the say to buy from their black dimond range are the exact size as stock.
    Got my braided brake line for $46 delivered from qld 

    You prob need to extend wires
