Having another go at my 2012 Fatbob front suspension have emulators in with racetech springs - Have seen that racetech site now recommends oil level at 165mm so i went from 130mm to 165mm and it made the front more comfortable but both oil levels will only use 88 mm if travel with hard bumps and heavy braking - Total travel on fatbob is 125mm is it possible to ever use most of travel available

Springs are 1.1 Racetech , Emulator with blue spring at 2 turns 35mm total sag using motul 7.5w fork oil - It has always felt bad hitting the concrete manhole covers and bumps in the road - like a harsh jolt

Yes 4 holes drilled - i think i have tried all different settings except oil height never understood why most run the standard settings 15w oil , 3 turns blue 130mm oil height and are happy with setup - it has always been comfortable doing 110km/h but anything around 50 - 60 km/h and it jolts/jerks the bars

Yes have 2 turns on blue now - i have 15mm of preload to get 35mm sag 4 holes drilled in emulator and 6 holes drilled in damper - racetech site lists 1.1 for my fatbob and a 1.0 for a streetbob

Racetech list stock spring as .96 but looking at it it is a progressive type not linear

If the stock spring is listed as .96 and its progressive would that rating be its maximum rating at max travel - thinking maybe i should try the original springs with emulator if sorts out harshness and doesnt use all of travel go with a .90 or .95

Gut feeling would you go .90 or . 95 would like to make it my last purchase of springs starting to get a collection and is there a rough measurement on how much preload to have on the springs for correct preload i ask based on racetech site listing 27mm as recommended preload

Waiting till the weekend to get back into forks but i had to give someone a lift on the back and it was the most comfortable ride i have ever had

So in my quest for comfort
1. Tried racetech springs 1.1 with emulator preload down to 0.5 turn blue spring very minimal change fork preload 15mm for 35mm sag
2. Stock springs with emulator no change had to preload 45mm to get sag at 32 mm
3. Racetech springs with no emulators about 40mm sag no change
Would we agree that all thats left now is dropping spring rate or is there anything else to try to narrow this down

got an email back from traxxion they recommend 0.95 springs all i gave them was bike and rider weight so looks like you are spot on also got bored so i roughly weighed the bike by itself and bike with rider Bike only front 144kg rear 162kg with rider front 174 rear 242kg

I looked into the nix22 catridges and could only find ones to suit wide glide and all other models except fatbob
