For whats worth. Got these V & H Monster rounds (slipons) fitted with the bike. Got stopped on the roadway by a fellow motorist who thought they sounded great without the bark

Hi Lofty I picked mine up Sat had them fit Rienhart 41/2 rounds adds a huge different sound, when I rode the demo with the stock mufflers I was looking to keep my 2011 ultra with V&H duels with monster ovals, but now its great, will get some k's on it over the next week and see how it goes, but what a huge difference, as for the seat I had a hammock on the old one and it fits the new one and feels great, got bars coming next week also, happy riding

Just ordered a set of heated grips, riding up through Tumut to the Autumn Leaf Rally last weekend made me remember how I like not freezing...

Just heard a new Roadking Special going out the door with a set of Two Brothers Racing slip on end cans for the new M8.

Sounded awesome, I have ordered my set now and am waiting. 12" Apes are here as well, so will get them fitted up ASAP.

Have the 4.5" Rineharts fitted to my Ultra. They sound bloody great.
Just returned to Sydney from a trip to Alice Springs. Bike with the M8 went bloody superb, what a motor. 7500km travelled in total.

4.5" are supposed to deliver a deeper boom, but it is all in the baffling. I have hears some 4.5" that are ear piercing loud, and some that are mellow and deep base sounding. So many configurations depending on headers, compression, etc etc.

Sound files on You Tube are a good start, attending a mass ride of Harleys is an even indicator.

    Regards Lofty

Sorry for the late reply Chriso.
They are the same as that are on the red Ultra last page owned by fatboy80 I think. Deep sound and are great.

Those following behind me to Alice Springs report that when I twist the throttle at 120 they give out a great rumble.

Wow... that's really NOT what you'd expect when you're paying CVO dollars for a Harley.
I'd be wondering how they're going to tell if low oil has done any long term damage personally, yeah I mean obvious major damage sure but what about minor damage that could come back to bite you once the bike is out of warranty?

I'd be wanting a strip down of the motor for an internal inspection not just replacing the missing parts, adding oil and seeing if it runs.

Glad it's getting sorted and doesn't sound too serious China. Got a pic of mickle dinking you on the back of his bike? Good thing you didn't roll into that motel in yack on the same bike together. Motelliers there would have got excited

    Hey guys.
I have a 2017 RG with a stage 3 (114ci) kit. It started life ok, but after the first service and "Custom Dyno Map" by the dealer, it was Pinging its head off, running hot and pretty poorly (lean). I decided to take matters into my own hands and buy the cables for my SERT. After a lot of playing around with Auto Tuning VE's, mixtures etc, she is running like a clock!
I have SE Cannons on it which were a bit quite for me, and I thought like the rest of you about trading them for Rhineharts etc, until I swapped out the stock headers for V&H Power Duals! I can tell you the headers make a lot more difference to sound than the mufflers. The Cannons are a straight through muffler, and in combination with the headers I made 5-10% VE in the cruise range. I suspect these improvements (headers and tune) would convert to 10+hp on the Dyno. Considering the original Dyno number was 109hp with the shitty dealer tune, I reckon I have to be approaching 120hp. I'm not really worried about absolute hp, but I know she is running and sounding fine. So fine that I think she would give my CVO Breakout 110 stage 3 a blasting!
The point is, if you are looking at sound and performance, look first at your headers (and get rid of the Cat).......

You lads keeping an eye on your gearbox oil levels I hope. Mines Down over 4 ounces and another M8 down 6 ounces. This issue isn't going away in the states.
