Going back to stock suspension..

Hi all,
The previous owner installed an adjustable lowering kit to the rear shock and also lowered the front.
It rides like dogturd to be honest. Tolerable (only just) on the motorway but life threatening on 99% of other Australian roads.
I've tried adjusting rear shocks (pretty straightforward) to raise seat height to no avail. I shortened the gap from the swing arm to the shock as instructed and left 3 threads per side. Was originally maxed out at 9/16". I had her raised on a jack and securely fastened and saw the rear wheel lower and thought "yay", but when I removed her from the jack stand, no change and then thought "sh1t".
I have the original parts to convert rear back to stock. Will have the front forks adjusted/replaced. I'm not willing to do the work on the front end personally.
How much $$ am I looking at if I supply the parts? Also if anyone can recommend an honest and all round top bloke/blokette on the gold coast I would much appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
K Fatty

Hey Kurt fatty.
FatBoy 2006 or around?
If so after mucho stuffing around I had RaceTech on my 06 Fatty, and eventually ended with Fornales for the rear. RaceTech front end was in and unfucking believable compared to stock crap. Rear Fornales were very good but shit to adjust air pressure with the golden priced pump. There are MC shock treatment crew that will work your original rear shocks for a good result, for a very good price.Have a squeeze on some earlier postings which may help you, but asking is always a good option for the latest stuff.
