Im on the gold coast QLD and looking for some Biltwell Chump handlebars (I think). Maybe something a little wider, im open to suggestions.
Where do you find your parts for collection or delivery in Australia? Mostyn? Gumtree? Overseas?
Any help would be great.
Cheers.
Dale.

Did just find this thread to answer my questions: http://www.hdforums.com.au/Thread/669969/1
Basically, use revzilla?
So if anyone is selling some chrome bars let me know.

We use revzilla for most of our purchases but they will not ship bars, pipes or anything "oversize" outside of the USA. So for pipes and bars we have used JP Cycles. Their prices are good, but their delivery lead time is longer than Revzilla and their service can be left wanting sometimes. Try them, I just ordered a set of 11/4" Wild1 chubbies.

If I can't find it locally for a fair price, I use JP Cycles. Never had an issue with them.

I had my bars made by The Handlebar Company
http://thehandlebarcompany.com
They are in New Zealand. Great quality and good prices
. From memory mine cost $110 including delivery in 2010.

Just landed a set of Vance and Hines Power Dual headers for my M8 Roadking. I ordered them last Wednesday, and they arrived st my work today. That was 7 days from JP Cycles warehouse in the US to my work address in Adelaide. And only $628 Aussie all up.
Can't get any better than that.

Had been using M&M Cycles but have made the last couple of purchases from VPW , am waiting on a price on valves from them (VPW) at the moment.
Will probably use VPW as first preference in the future.

J&P for most of the part - prices in oz is silly and even once you taken the shipping fee (which sometime is steep) into account it still work out cheaper that oz dealers can offer
J&P's support is a bit of hit&miss (online chat that is), but I always managed to negotiate a great solution - sometime a level of persistence required though with a couple of repeat chat sessions in the hope of finding the right guy - email support generally works out fine as well, but I prefer to discuss matters online where you can throw questions to/from...
Shipping to oz is a concern though - I lost count on the number of parcels going haywire - but once highlighting it to J&P they generally send you another parcel express without charge (had one occasion where the initial parcel received some weeks later after the replacement got sent & received) = bonus I guess (Dont like the idea of putting this into some kind of system though)
So, J&P is good = recommended if you are prepared to wait a couple of weeks (but thats pretty much what domestic shipping using APO results into anyway :) )

I am actively contemplating the following importation method: buy a set of shocks off eBay and have the California dude ship (for free) to an Irvine, CA mates place. When I pass through my mates place on the way from Boston back to Melbourne in early September, put said shocks in my checked baggage on the flight (have enough weight to spare). Total savings AUD$120 (cheaper to buy in USA and saving postage). Will I get hauled as a potential bomber or something?! Yes, calling airline and DFAT

bit late, but when I was up Sydney a few weeks back, saw a panhead bober being hand built had panhead frame Harley springer front. they got a guy in Sydney to hand make new stainless steel bars, if you have ever seen a springer with dog bone risers, you will know what I mean. the workmanship was flawless heavy gauge stainless tube guy said $200 but worth every cent. and a one off so you would not see a twin ( mass production )
