Looks like I am out for this year. Finally under the knife for my right hand next week so no riding for a while. If all is well I may jump in the car and come for a run.

2 weeks to go! Will be a good weekend so get on it...
I had to go back to check the date, so here's the details that Bob had posted earlier:
The date for the ride is 15 July. Meet at the BP Roadhouse at Roseworthy at 7.30am - stands up at 8.00am.

    Route:
First leg will be from Roseworthy to Stone Hut - via Clare, Georgetown, Gladstone and Laura - this should take a little over 2 hours.
Stone Hut has a good bakery / cafe for those wanting something to eat / drink / breakfast.
We turn right just north of Stone Hut and make our way to the Appila - Laura Road and head north through Orroroo to RM Williams Hwy and then onto Hawker via Carrieton and Craddock - again about 2 hours so depending on how long we stop at Stone Hut we should be at Hawker around 12.30pm or thereabouts
Hawker to Blinman is a little over 100 ks but looks like it will take between 1.5 and 2 hours (according to Google Maps)
I would suggest a short stop at Blinman for a drink and stretch the legs but don't hang around there too long in order that we can get to Quorn (175 ks - via Hawker where we will re-fuel again) at a reasonable time - around 6.00pm.

    Accommodation
We will stay overnight at the Austral Inn Hotel - Tel: 08.86486017 at Quorn
Need to book your room/s in advance so would suggest this be done as soon as possible.
Pay for the rooms on arrival.
They have 6 rooms inside the pub and another 5 at the back (where the bikes were parked last year)
All rooms have en suite facilities.
5 inside rooms each have a Queen size bed with one room also having a single bed - the cost for these rooms is $110 and $115 for the one with a single bed.
4 outside rooms have a double bed and 2 singles with 1 room having a double and 3 singles - the cost varies according to how many stay in each room (1 person per room - $70; 2 persons per room - $90; 3 persons per room - $95 and 4 persons per room - $100)

You should work out if you want to share a room to split the cost and make those arrangements before contacting the hotel directly to make your booking - when doing so tell them you are part of the Brass Balls Run so they know how many room to put aside for us.

Yup, looking forward to the run. Am a starter at Roseworthy. The weather looks like it might be as warm as the sweaty balls run.

Well thats a bit of a bastard. The Transcontinental has had electrical problems and cant have anyone stay there. Are there any spare beds available in any rooms. Lofty may be looking as well as he booked into the Transcontinental as well.

Thanks Tim,  If I get there and there are people staying at the Trans, then there will be a mystery power outage.
