Sorry about the delay in getting this posted - have been extremely busy with work - not that you lot would care.
Please note the change of date

    Date:
The date for the ride is 15 July - this has been changed from 22 July to enable as many participants as possible.
Hopefully the change will not cause any issues for anyone.

    Times / Route:
For those leaving from Adelaide we will meet at the BP Roadhouse at Roseworthy at 7.30am - stands up at 8.00am.

First leg will be from Roseworthy to Stone Hut - via Clare, Georgetown, Gladstone and Laura - this should take a little over 2 hours.

Stone Hut has a good bakery / cafe for those wanting something to eat / drink / breakfast.

We turn right just north of Stone Hut and make our way to the Appila - Laura Road and head north through Orroroo to RM Williams Hwy and then onto Hawker via Carrieton and Craddock - again about 2 hours so depending on how long we stop at Stone Hut we should be at Hawker around 12.30pm or thereabouts

Hawker to Blinman is a little over 100 ks but looks like it will take between 1.5 and 2 hours (according to Google Maps)

I would suggest a short stop at Blinman for a drink and stretch the legs but don't hang around there too long in order that we can get to Quorn (175 ks - via Hawker where we will re-fuel again) at a reasonable time - around 6.00pm.

    Drink Stops
I am advised that the Carrieton pub is now closed but the Hawker pub is good for those who need to hydrate.

Propose to have a short break at Hawker to re-fuel and have a drink.

    Fuel Stops
If everyone fills up at Roseworthy we should get through to Hawker and re-fuel there before heading to Blinman.

For anyone who needs to fill up before Hawker, fuel should be available at Gladstone or Orroroo but I suggest you may want to check for yourselves if fuel is an issue.

    Accommodation
We will stay overnight at the Austral Inn Hotel - Tel: 08.86486017 at Quorn (same place as last year)

Good meals, drinks and juke box available (Kenny Rogers and ABBA for AJ)

Need to book your room/s in advance so would suggest this be done as soon as possible.

Pay for the rooms on arrival.

They have 6 rooms inside the pub and another 5 at the back (where the bikes were parked last year)

All rooms have en suite facilities.

5 inside rooms each have a Queen size bed with one room also having a single bed - the cost for these rooms is $110 and $115 for the one with a single bed.

4 outside rooms have a double bed and 2 singles with 1 room having a double and 3 singles - the cost varies according to how many stay in each room (1 person per room - $70; 2 persons per room - $90; 3 persons per room - $95 and 4 persons per room - $100)

You should work out if you want to share a room to split the cost and make those arrangements before contacting the hotel directly to make your booking - when doing so tell them you are part of the Brass Balls Run so they know how many room to put aside for us.

If there is anything I have left off or any questions I am sure someone will let me know.

nearly 350 km's on a tank of fuel, are we going to travel at 60 Kph ?????
    I FCKN don't think so.
probably like Cradock pub for a beer, rather than Hawker.
6pm back in Quorn is still a little late.

I remember the other year coming back to Oraroo at 145+ trying to keep up with you maniacs ( Cos it was happy hour)  and passing a cop in a Land Rover... Thought ohh shit.. but he kept going thank Fuck.....  I do not intend to to do 150 + this year to Hawker and push my bike into the petrol station cos I run out of fuel. Coz I am trying to keep up with China. Tim, Graz and all those other old people that have no regard for their lives.  LOL.....  Either way it will be a good trip again.....
    Another Red thanks....

Thanks for organising, Bobby. Inside room booked at the Austral. Gotta remember to wear my clear glasses on the way back from Hawker this time. Hard to see in the twilight at 150k with dark glasses on!

Bob can you please confirm.... I rang the hotel to book a room and the lady said it was all booked out to you and we need to speak to you??
Can you put Ralphski and I into a outside room please.

I'm 5 mins away from Roseworthy, so if anyone has some distance to travel or concerned about a early start, I can accommodate you here.
