Help with advice on best way of getting a 180 tire and 5.5" run on an evo softail

Hey guys, been a while since I dropped in.
Looking at picking myself up a late eighties / nineties evo softail custom as a bit of a project bike.
I've searched on Google for hours, but can't seem to get a straight answer....
Anyone know the best way to get a 18 x 5.5" rim with 180 tire out back???
I'm not fussed about the fender our chopping things up a bit at all because I'm going to be rigid mounting the fender to the swingarm and supporting with struts anyway.
Some people say get the chain drive conversion, others say just get hold of an ,07 softail swingarm and mount that up??
Anyone got experience or wisdom on this mod?
Cheers. Adam

No off set kit required, 07 up or 200 swingarm will not bolt to your evo frame with out major mods done to frame or swingarm
As thay are approximately 10 mm wider than the frame so won't slide in. You need a 2000 up tc swingarm ( not 200wide)
These bolt in with just a change of the swingarm bearings to evo as thay run smaller bolts and run the evo pivot tube
All bolt in no other modes , you than run a 2000 up rear caliper 3/4 1 1/8 belt 2000 up pulley . 2000up splash guard , 2000 up belt guards
If you only go to 160 which is what I've done on both my bikes you don't need to cut the fender horns off or change rear fender
But as you want a 180 you will have to than just get one of those fenders that bolt to the frame without the frame horns
Than the fun begins you can run the evo rear axle (Same as tc ) but tc axel adjusters as there thinner , than you need to
Start playing with axel spacer widths and maybe pulley spacers depending on what rim and hub offsets you have , you will have to
Machine the brake caliper down a bit to at the axel mount and wear it mounts to the swingarm so it can move right bit
All with std engine gearbox primary offset and std front pulley and std rear brake master which has no issues with the twin piston caliper
Which is a step up in braking . Center the rim /tyre to what ever guard your running when your working out what spacers are needed
There offset to one side more factory You have no issues with handling or tracking

Hey guys, any thoughts on the zippers chain conversion kit??
Claims to allow 180 tyre without changing swingarm?. Cheap also at only US$380....
