Primary Cover Gasket

    About to change my Twin Cam 88 primary cover gasket because it's developed a small leak. 
    I bought a James gasket with the silicone bead that faces the primary cover. My question is should I use gasket sealant on the engine side? Some say yes, some say no.
    Just looking for the best answer to make sure the old girl doesn't leak again.
