Subscriptions from the old site were not brought over to this site.  It would have been bad to clutter up this site with the 10 years of out of date subscriptions from the old site.  So you need to re-subscribe to any topics you were following on the old site.

Subscribing to a topic is easy just click the subscribe button at the bottom of the topic page.  You can view your subscriptions by going to your profile.  Click on your username in the top right of the site, then click the subscriptions button.

Under the new system topic subscriptions automatically expire after 90 days.  You are notified of the expiry by a number next to your user profile.  All you have to do is press the renew button and that will add another 90 days to your subscriptions.

This ensures the site never gets cluttered up by out of date subscriptions.  Because of emailing subscriptions are a massive drag on the system if not maintained.
