Good on ya Geoff.. I live 10 mins from ya dealer now, and will be drooling as it comes into the shop, as atm all they got is underslung suspension black rides.
Reckon night and day to what you have, you will love it mate.. good stuff.

I reckon the red looks great but the dealer said it's actually harder to get the blue (dunno if that means it's more popular or HD Oz didn't bring many in).
And yes, the bikes on the floor are almost all black or grey or black and grey (although one of the sportys is red/black).

I'm guessing that's a safer choice for a country dealer than a bike in a color that only some riders want.

Looks like a great deal, Geoff. Congrats! Look forward to seeing you in Port Macq in May!!
Oh, And Lofty it was good meeting you in Broome on the 'Round-the-Block' ride.

I'm very happy with the dealer's offer and yes we'll have to meet up at the AGM in May.  I'm not camping at Wauchope this one, I've booked a studio apartment at the Town Beach Beachcomber Resort for the week in Port Macquarie.  I'm riding up in 2 days from Vic arriving Monday.  The new bike will make for an easier trip.

Thanks Tim and FLHuTChU, I'm really looking forward to getting it.
Still got one more trip this long weekend on the current bike to do up to Jindabyne and the snowys, nice way to say goodbye to the old bike.

I didn't realize there was a bowls club nearby, that and RSL clubs are pretty much my default "need a meal in a town I don't know" destination.
I'll have to try the food there Sturgis.

    Today was the day.
I rode the Switchback up to the shop, gave them a (big) cheque, some more $ for insurance, signed lots of paper and they gave me a new bike!

I still have to take the ute up with my Switchback stock pipe, tuner, charger and books and pick up the the Street Glide stock pipes and tuner.

Thanks Winger, yah I reckon I'll be changing the screen.
The current one looks good but it makes listening to the music at more than about 80kph pointless.

You can hear it but... listening for long over the wind buffeting would give me a head ache I reckon.

    Veeeery Nice Geoff.
Flog off some of your spares, get the boombox extension cable and buy some harley headsets so you can listen to the music in your helmet.
All the best with your ride.
    Cheers

    Hmmm... that's a thought Steelo.
Although I don't think my current lid has much space near my ears.

Probably have to look at a different lid too.
