I'm thinking about going down the tourer route and was wondering from those that know if there is much difference in the handling of the the two. I was in the snowies on the weekend with a mate who was on a Road King and it seemed to scrape alot. Are the Street Glides the same?

    Cheers...

The stock (suspension) Streety would probably scrape sooner than a RK as they are 1" lower.

Thanks Graz..I really get put off when my bike scrapes and have spent a bit on my WideGlide to stop it.If I go the Streety I guess i will have to do a suspension upgrade and whatever else it takes to sort it out..

    Cheers...

I have put the 1" longer shocks on mine and it's prettygood now. Still have a touchdown now and then but thats the joys of a tourer. Its just letting you know your going hard enough.smiley

RoadKing has more ground clearance, and much lighter steering as it does not have the weight of the fairing/sterio/speakers attached to the steering.

I've had a streety and rode a king for 3 weeks straight... king handled better for mine but in saying that I hear the newer streetys handle real good...
Followed Graz through some twistys once and he seemed to have very little trouble throwing his into the corners lol

these new 107 M8's handle exceptionally well,
I have no plans on any suspension mods or changes, the stock setup is good enough..
about the only time you will feel any weight on the frontend is when you are doing a u-turn,or any slow speed and it's not like your trying to push a bolder uphill or anything..:))
At normal riding speeds you won't feel any weight from the frontend,it sits on the road spot on
