I received my invite in the mail today. Trouble is it's the day before heading to the HOG rally at Victor Harbour, which I am going to attend. May be a bit tricky to get an extra day off work for the wife.

G'day Fatboy thanks for the info ive been waiting to take out the latest ROAD KING to see how i feel on it. I took one out when the first twin cams came out and enjoyed the ride on it. So i cant wait to compare the two,ok fatboy thats enough from me for now catch up soon and stay safe out there.

I went on Saturday morning and rode the XR1200 and Cross Bones. They were running late and the 9am rides did not leave until just after 9:30. I would love to have the XR1200 in the garage for the days that a quick run through hills is in order. Unfortunately can't really get to know the bikes in a short run where there are only a few short 60kph roads.

when the road ride show come to my neck of the woods, getting a ride was easy, not all bikes were booked every time they went out, so un-booked bikes were a free for all,
the serious expression of interest riders were taken out between rides on the bike they were considering buying, our route was about 25minutes, through town then out the highway before back to the start, speeds from 60 to 110 (160)
we the local HOG members got some after hours rides and fuel runs,
the V-Rod Muscle (love muscle) was an awesome ride, $28k ride away was tempting, but I am looking at a hamburger with the lot. Ultra Classic Electra Glide, the wife likes the armchair and panniers and I like all the electrics and convenience that goes with it.

Hahaha Alby --- you're right!  That's like guitar shops.  The ones hanging have the best pickups in them and are best setup.  You play one an like it, you give it to them and they take it round back 'to give it a quick polish and wipe (or some shit)' - all the while they're changing it up for a standard stock guitar which they'll bring out and let you take out the door.  Pretty common!
