    Looked into "Get Routed"
Dont remember the exact details, but think it was about $1700 plus customs deposit, temporary rego, the NZ equivilent of RWC etc.
You have to pay a customs deposit, which is refunded when the bike is shipped back.
Check out their website. All the info is on there.

Dont take it as gospell. But when we looked it was about $350 a day to hire. So unless ya only wanna ride for a couple of days, it would be much cheaper to take your own bike.

Eg. I think Get Routed organise to have your bike there for a month. Call it 3k for 25 days riding. Vs hire at $300 min a day.
My figures could be wrong, but hiring just seemed to be horrendously expensive.

Yes you have to pay for a Carnet to export your Bike overseas , It is 50% of the value of the Bike your sending,, there is also a $250.00 application fee . The Carnet is fully refunded after the Bike is returned to Australia. It is a bond so you can not sell the Bike while it is overseas,

I just did it late last year when I send mine and 5 other Bike across to Japan for the Mooneyes Show . Our Bikes came back in the last week of Jan , I had the carnet money back in my hand 2 weeks later

Pretty sure the NZ customs fee was only 15 % of bikes value. Again, refunded when the bike is shipped back to Oz.
I certainly stand to be corrected.
Had some friends do it 7 or 8yrs ago. Shipped 2 bikes for around 3k each i think.
Whatever option you choose, theres some fantastic riding to be had over there.
