On the way back from the Snowy Run, the audio setup on the Streety started dropping in and out, and became quite annoying. It wouldn't fast forward or change tracks on either media format with the toggle switch on the bars, and even the radio was chopping in and out. I assumed it may have been an aerial connection or similar, and intended to raise the subject with Alex at ABW the next time I visited. As it turned out, I wanted to demo one of Harley's Solo Reach seats to try and lower my seat height a half inch ,or so, just to get a better purchase when stopping. When I went to pick it up, I brought up the stereo glitsch with Alex ,who said they had recently down loaded a fix that was supposed to sort the problem out. He popped a usb in, down loaded the update, and the audio gear was faultless all the way around the Yorke Peninsula on our Sweaty Balls Run. Problem fixed!. The seat looked like shit, created a very poor seating position, and you would've had more padding on a church pew at a funeral. Needless to say, I didnt use it on the intended ride, because I had grave fears, that there would have been little, or ,no relief to your backside after 700ks of riding. Don't intend to sacrice a lot of comfort (which the orignal seat has) for a tiny bit of reach. I reckon in one of our conversations, China stated he had sent his seat to a trimmer to rework to his specs using high density foam. Might be the way I'll go.
Well bugger me if my stereo started dropping in and out etc on the way home from the run on Sunday. All the same issues exactly. How the fuck does this happen after 14 months. Think you jinxed me Winger. In for a service Friday so will make sure they sort it.
Hum..... paranormal ?
I have had the left toggle intermittently play up over time . Sometimes turning bike off , then restarting fixes it ...
Might have a crack at that, FB, and see if it helps. Hope all is well your side of Oz.
