So my plan is to fit a detachable sissy bar and rack on the street bob, but of course the indicators are in the way. Looked into the great bike gear setup but with our dollar its almost $400.

Harley put me onto this kit

Which is not bad at $145 delivered, apart from the fact that a little bit of the cable will be external to the fender, hardly what i want or expect on a bike that cost up over 20k

any other ideas, photos or advice would be awesome,

Where will the cable be external?

apparently below the fender strut. something to do with the turn signal/stop/tail combo setup. i dont have the rear tail light like you have and the cable diameter causes an issue, or so the dealer has said.

Wow. That does sound dodgy. Sorry. I didnt even consider there would be a reason why the wiring wouldnt pass through the centre of the stalks/docking points as they do on the stock ones.
Maybe check another dealer. The link you posted is for Europe. Maybe thats the issue??

Could be to many wires to cut and join,

Maybe trace back to ecm and unplug there

i think its do do with coming out inside the fender and clearance issues. the new model doesnt have a fender strut cover aswell. tried multiple dealers, only posted the European link because the US site wont show the number due to it being a different light setup again. id rather not move them back to the number plate. thought harley wouldve made it a bt easier considering a large amount of people like the detachable setup on these bikes.
