G'day all,

            I'm new here and a lover of Harley's. I've been riding for over 20 years and after a massive accident and loosing my left leg I'm finally getting ready to get up on a Prosthetic leg and try to walk. Just for an incentive I went out and bought a 2016 FXDWG which I customized with giving the motor a bit more torque,7 led headlight ,petrol caps new electric pop up ,Willee G covering where standard plain bike chrome covers usally are seen and all pegs etc Willee G also over a black finish paint job.No stencil painting or airbrushing yet as I just want to get on an ride. Buying me a digital Camera on Thursday and a million and 1 pics will go up showing off my prize possession which means more to me than anything else and finally catching up with all the day to day shit ya have to do. I haven't tried looking for work yet as early days but hoping to find a business either partnership or alone to start earning an income and hope to catch up with all the HD riders I see out and about and get to know a few people as I'm a bit of a loner,don't know why really except love the peace and quiet and not listening to neighbours sqabble over a tree growing both sides of a fence or domestics hearing everyword etc etc but there is nothing better than meeting new HD Riders and going out on a run or something just to have a bloody good ride and day meeting a few nice people then going seperate ways at the end unless the beer is flowing somewhere so that's me in a nutshell.Please say G'day and hope to meet up with ya and have a great day out riding enjoying the roar of HD's down a highway or through the hills looking around at the scenery or something worth looking at.

                 I'm in SA.. Looking at approx 4-6 weeks before I hope to be on bike then everyone will know as she is fast and loud.. I'm yet to know anyone who rides bikes as I'm a single bloke and after accident the mates I thought they were drifted away but that's kewl.I'm sure to meet up with some riders and hopefully start riding with other HD lovers like myself. Hope to have pictures up of my bike by late tonight / tomorrow . Where are you ?

Hi Lefty, great introduction. Good to hear that your getting back on the "old horse again".

As mentioned earlier, we've got a good crew here and are mostly active in going for day rides wherever, even the occasional overnighter.  One member here in particular Tim S.G often tries to organise a regular catch up ride / lunch / pub stop along the way. Be good to have you along one day.

Keep a lookout in the SA rides section for any upcoming rides, or even post a ride you would like to organise yourself.
