Hey All,

Im in the process to try and find a good seat on my new Fatboy S 2017, Both Passenger and Rider

The Misses came with me and straight away didnt like the stock seat so im Fu*#ed, She does ride with me alot though (unfortunately) and I wanna give her the comfort she deserves. The Sundowner is an Option but theres also the Badlander.

Any feedback on either would be appreiated, I know the Badlander seems to be less comfortable but I dont want the (OEM) seat to look too bulky with the mods Ive got,

The OEM seat feels ok IMO but a bit bulky for me but my current 2006 Fatboy has a Sundowner and She loved It.

I'd go another but the Badlander could remain an option to leave on when riding Solo as it looks slimmer.

Anyone been in the same spot as me at the moment.

To make myself sound worse Im lookin at a solo seat for my rides, any advice or input would be appreciated, rear guard Bibs already organised

My Nightrain come standard with the badlander, after a couple rides the missus wanted bigger
She had to have a sundowner, but because of the size, I have a med sissy bar and rack to blend it out

I also have a solo seat to go "on my own"

the best way, (how I done it) buy her a bike of her own.

Hi Smooth. Welcome to the forum

You'll probably see the name bandied around a lot on this forum. Get rider and passenger airkawk seats. Only needed when you have the passenger or do long kays. Otherwise, lean and mean. Not expensive. Get the R model for yourself.

Yep, I was the same as you Smooth. Missus complained about the standard Fatboy pillion seat and I found I became uncomfortable after about an hour of riding. I looked around at the different seats and eventually went with the sundowner. I now find that I don't become uncomfortable when riding and the missus likes the wider seat she sit's on. I'm just under 6 foot and 95 kilo's.

Sure you dont want to try non-HD? Mustang seats are good.

Thanks all. Appologies for delay but been workin and havent setup email alerts on my posts yet. Went the sundowner as she liked tbe last one. Now just gotta find a good seat for solo rides. Will look into those suggested and do more research. Cheers n thanks

Thanks steelo ill suss em out. Just saw your reply on my intro too. Im trying to do all this on me phone so its a bit hard to work out but ill get on me pc after this shift and work it out. Appreciate the advice on takin pics with a phone to. Ill keep it in mind cheers.
