I am thinking about buying my first Harley in the next 6-12 months. I am really keenon the Nightster, but have been told by a few blokes from work reckon i should get a softy or a dyna...any ideas...
Of the sporties the nighters are killer. They just look great.
Get whatever makes you happy. Oh and welcome.

Welcome to the nuthouse mate. There is a really nice RoadKing in the For Sale section that would be a great first Harley.
Test them all , then get a DYNA....................
If you're a small bloke then the Nightster is a great bike for you. I'm told they have more get up and go than the larger Harleys. I'm told by the dealers that they share engine components with the Buel. It's a great looking bike too.
If you're a bigger bloke I would suggest the Dyna range as your starting point but would recommend you go for a low mileage Wide Glide unless you want to spend extra bucks on add-ons such as forward controls etc.

well look no further, put down the hard earned on a Nightster, they are the ducks guts they out corner the bigger bikes & have a better power to weight ratio
But of course I'm bias

Hi and the nightsters look great, but when you grow up get a softail. No the nightsters look shithot and i want 1.

Welcome Folbz hope you enjoy the forum all i can say about getting the rite harley for your self is go to your local dealership and try as many bikes as you can you will no when you have found the rite one for you. OK enough from me for now enjoy your bike when you have found it and stay safe out there.

Welcome Folbz nothing wrong with the nightster my bro has one and he enjoys it .The only thing i can say about getting something biger it depends on how tall you are and what build you are.If you are tall a sporty may cramp you up a bit on long rides.I would go to the dealership and try as many bikes out you can you will know when you have got the rite bike for your self.Ok Folbz i hope you enjoy the forum and stay safe out there.
