    Morning Fellow HD riders ,

As some of you are aware i had a bad accident with left me with a rather mangled LH foot..  i was not wearing proper motorcycle boots at the time of my accident ( skate shoes )

Now im back on the bike i want new boots however cause of my mangled foot i cant seem to find anything that i can get my club foot in... so ive been using skate shoes again for the past year.. ( wish the misses aint happy about)

i have tried several shops to find something with no luck.. the issue is my foot is like a club and very wide and puffy just above the anxle so trying to squeeze it into a boot is near impossible...

    Hi limpn.
The guy below was recommended to me from another Cobbler in Sydney who just repairs shoes now.
He makes shoes and boots from what I hear.

    Hes in Carlton mate.

Limpn, try this bloke in Canberra. I don't know if he can help but his is very handy when fixing shoes/boots etc and rides (Jap bikes). His Italian accent is a bit strong but might be worth the effort:

You gotta have good boots on a bike. Best wishes.

Just out of curiosity limpn, do you reckon it would have made a difference if you had been wearing boots ( ankle length) when you had your prang?
    And what are skate shoes?

Try Forma Adventure Low boots. Come in natural leather or all black. Sound like the thing you need. I have the high boots for off road. Bloody comfy and supportive.

How about a leather engineer-style boot with the inside zips? I have a long-term stuffed ankle and my boots are very easy to slip on/off. Think they cost me about $80 a couple of years ago.

Hey ya Limpn, I wrote a really long thing to you, after I choked on my cuppa reading stuff about soft shoe shuffles with HD , and I dissed what I'd written.. Your old enough to workout that to use the best foot/leg protection is a major point. You wanna dance with your kid when the time is right? Man, heavy duty foot shit is good for protection... Unless you have stumps, then wtf, why not big mother fucker, don't pin my ankles again boots....I learnt my lesson long time in wheelchair ago.Is you cannot wipe threat, but to make blow a little softer..

Fuken oath boots make diffrance if I didn't have mine on when I had my smash almost 6 years ago I
Would have lost my foot , ankle bone (talus) got punched out the side broken metatarsals and toes
At the the time I thought those steel blue boots steel cap did sweet f all it wasn't till I got out of hospital
And actually seen my bike and the re designed exhaust I had and broken forwards that I relized
Thay help save my foot and maybe my life for the docs to put me back together I will never be the same
though but still have my foot , not sure if you wear orthotics now limpn all I can wear now is
Steel blues with orthotics with my banged up foot and give the most
Support ankle wise And movement to allow it to swell for a few hours I know when you go there 1/2 sizes there wider
Best of luck with your search I know how You feel

Steel blue boots are brilliant, used them for years in a previous life. Best cushioning of all the black boots out there at the time but were heavy. Ones with the blue insert in the sole are steel capped, ones with the red insert are kevlar lined. Much lighter and dont set off metal detectors. Well thats how they were 10 years ago anyway.

I am lead to believe steel caps are designed to chop your toes off instead of trap you under whatever is crushing your foot. Anyone else heard this?

I currently wear Danner TFX-8 combat boots (my job). They fit like a sneaker and are light as buggery (400gm each). Will last for 6 months and set you back a cool $280. Thank fuck they're issued. My feet are pretty important in my line of work.

    Thanks fellas.
