Well finally HD is the number one selling bike in Aust. Honda outsold them with postie bikes but they were sold to Aust post so did not count. Anyone guess what harley was the best seller....

The only Stat that I could find was that the Kawasaki Ninja 300 was the number one seller.

The Street followed by the Breakout were the biggest selling HD's, I presume? Give it a couple of years when the M8 becomes standard across most of the range and the dealers will be pumping out more sales.

Surely the only thing that is really going to slow this down is a massive recession? I just don't see Indian being competition that will be fatal to HD, perhaps only shake up the HD quality and innovation though.

I can't see it. The "Indian" brand is not one which immediately springs to mind fo the average person aspiring to buy/get/ride a motorbike. More a curiosity when you see one on the road. Plus the young ladies won't go for it.

I dunno if I want hd to become popular. When they were sold in lower numbers they retained their value and were unique on the road. Lots of them now everywhere and they don't hold value like they used to

Indian are about to push their product very hard, especially after discontinuing Victory.

They will find it hard against Harley, but everybody has got to start somewhere and Harley are letting their quality slip.

they have 8 motorcycles in their line up.
every one of em' equally as fugly as the next
they cant match the variety of bike styles HD have on the floor
Indian models on offer are all the same but different
I cant even see them coming close to metric (jap) cruiser sales to be honest let alone give Harley a run
anyway, time will tell I guess
like victory, a flash in the pan I reckon
as mentioned above, it will keep HD focused on the ball if nothing else

maybe Pauly but that's my opinion, they ALL look the same, you cant deny that, at least HD models have variations for individuality that also have customizing options, Indians leave very little room to move in that realm
not blinded mate just realistic and beauty IS in the eye of the whatever
