I'm a fitter/machinist by trade, I've also been a tyre fitter and wheel aligner, pig farmer, bouncer, pizza cook and delivery driver and for the last eight years I've made cardboard boxes for Visy. Over the last eight years I worked my way up to shift manager until I decided the management snobbery and crap tactics was not for me, requested to be put back on the shop floor with the boys and been happier than a pig in shit since!

I have been in IT for 13 years and manage Service Delivery for a large Mining Company, studeid my butt off to get where I am now. Before that Motorcycle mechanic for 15 years witha heap of study in between to get my diploma in Automotive engineering. Still love to tinker and have a motor of some type pulled down every second weekend
Commercial oil field diver (air and mixed gas saturation) for 19 years-- set platforms, removed platforms, performed NDT inspections, hyperbaric (underwater dry) pipeline welding, pipeline flange ups, cut stuff up, blew stuff up etc. Have been in and on the bottom of nearly every ocean around the globe between 1973 and 1992. Spent a bit of time in regionally diverse seaport bars from Rotterdam to Thailand and in-between obtaining a keen knowledge of local cultural exchange.... All those years of pressure exposure took its toll-- joints ache sometimes and now partially deaf. Too beat up to dive in the industry at 42 and got into diving company management from 1992 to 2001 then started an underwater construction consultancy in Singapore. Struck it lucky from 2002 through 2006 working for Nippon Steel in Tokyo and Russia. Project finished in 06 and shut the business down in 2006, came back to Oz, and now have a boring job doing contract advisory work for a boring power company in a boring power stations boring mine-- BUT -- home every night, no phone calls, no weekend work, kids love me again and wife hates me again. Potter in the workshop at home taking off and adding stuff to the bikes and shoot clay target competitions some weekends.
