Hi Guys and Girls. 

My name is Paul and I'm from Leppington in Sydney NSW.

Iv recently bought a 12/2008 sportster 883 (which I have ridden twice because I look like a massive looser in my full face Rossi helmet) and really liked the different feel and ride it has to my traditional Jap bikes I work with  

As stated I work with a lot of Hondas mainly and ride an R1 daily and I'm a mechanic working for myself and my father who is semi retired. 

I don't take many days off work inc weekends because I find work therapudic and I genuinely love being a mechanic so don't go for big rides or "national park runs" or hang out at Krispy Kream car parks or any of that. (Not that I think that is bad)

So, Iv bought a screaming eagle 1200 kit for my 883

I know it's a bit soon as I haven't yet enjoyed the 883 but I can't leave things standard. so far and am looking at pipes for the  more chopped look and a tuner I guess down the track because of the upgrade capacity. 

I'll use the search bar to try and find the best info on tuners and see what people recommend.

Iv seen power commanders work well on Jap stuff but I'm very open to the idea of self learning (tmax and similar) as it saves on dyno time and allows for future mods.

Anything I can do myself I like more

Any pointers would be appreciated ??
