I asked the same question when I put a set of Fatbob lights on my Fatboy. After looking at all the options, the best by far was buying a hoglight kit. $440 and the option of chrome or black face. Super simple to install as the kit is just plug and play, It is in my opinion the only option to go with. Harley do a daymaker kit that is over $800 and some say it is inferior to the hoglight kit. All I know is it is a heck of a lot cheaper and if the harley setup out performs the hoglight it wont be by much and you can keep the change. I did find out that you can (if you can find) get the american lights which have both lights on as standard, but I was told they wont send them for some reason and I couldnt see any on ebay. Anyway if you were lucky to find one, by the time you paid for it and had it sent over it would be the best part of the hoglight kit any way. I also know that the standard light can be rewired but you then have both low and high on all the time with no adjustment.

Go with the hoglight kit, it is a sensible and smart upgrade and you will not regret it. (www.hoglights.com.au) check them out

    regards Fat Tom

Put them both on a relay, switched by the existing cable.
