2013 CVO Breakout , the DBW throttle is "sticky" , just developed today. 16,000 k's on the bike.

Bike will rev to 3K+ if you dip'pop the clutch without pushing the throttle back.

Seems to have lost the " snap-back" , but not all the time !

In the past I have lubed and adjusted Harley throttle cables many ,many times and cured sticky throttle quite easily.

Anyone on the forum had similar isues with a DBW throttle ?

And if so what was the "cure" ?

I've seen the problem on various Youtube videos , but no "cure" other than "new replacement" !

That I'm trying to avoid on a 16,000K's bike if I can.

I have not opened and looked as yet , a tomorrow job when I gets a minute

Well I may have answered my own question , got into it this evening.

Removed the top of the right hand switchgear and wiped out the top half , and used "3 in 1 Silicone Garage door lubricant".

Sprayed this carefully down inside the throttle grip as well , and carefully reassembled. Snap-back now perfect

Seems all good now , a 6 K's test ride saw no dramas.

May have been grit/sand , but I did not see it ! Or just a combo of too many dry surfaces rubbing.

I'll post again in a few days with a definitive opinion
