I had my true dual header pipes fitted up with a custom Dyno tune done at the same time. Problem is, the Screaming Eagle Cannons now sound like shit. They are really blatty, and fluffy sounding, and loud as when hard on the gas or on the over run. Great when on a steady throttle, but shit everywhere else.
So my question is, what mufflers should I now mate up to my True Duals to get that deep mellow rumble back?
Lofty,,, As you are awhere, there are many mufflers that will come into the category that you may be looking for, (that deep and throaty sound)... And then throw in everyones individual opinion of what a deep and throaty sound is....
In the US , they have a big opinion of the Bassani DNT, (deep and throaty), mufflers .. Also the CFR mufflers, (these can be going to the extreme though) ... Google the above to get an idea ....
Personaly , I like , (on a tourer), going to the louder end of the deep and throaty , (not that raspy ear shattering sound) ...Now for something a bit different,, below is my 2015 black demin SG with Freedom Performance 4 inch Racing mufflers, decatted stock header pipes, (dont see many about , so you are a bit individual) ... For me they fit the bill,, they extend an extra 1 or 2 inches, to give that fish tail stretch look which I like ..... Freedom make another model , called the Outlaw mufflers ,, similar , but different design ..... Good luck on your quest for the best sounding pipe,, just be aware , whatever you buy, someone will always say , theirs have a better deep and throaty sound !!!!!!!!
I have these, V/H 4.5 inch Hi Output on the CVO, i reckon they sound ok with the V/H Power Duels.
The Carbon Tip matches the Carbon on the dash of the CVO.
I have gone with a set of Rinehart Racing 4" slip ons. Chrome with the black end caps. Got a realy good deal with Rollies after buying my True Duals with them just before Christmas
I hope so mate
Mufflers just arrived, damn these things are well made and good looking.
Fit them up tonight, and let the music begin.
Ohh yeah, awesome rumble and great thump
Nice thought you might like it
Many of my riding mates here in Perth WA have stock factory CVO mufflers on their baggers , with Fullsac baffles Good sound and power. the US forums rave about this particular mod ! Buy the mufflers "new bike take-off" off ebay or gumtree , then the baffles no worries from the US
Straight bolt on as soon as you get your new bike ? Well probably not , bit of farting around involved.
One of the guys has had the same mufflers transferred onto 3 new subsequent bikes over 4 years , so they sure worked out OK for him !
