    Hi All,

Got given a set of Screaming Eagle slide on Shotguns (to sell for a bloke) to fit a 2007on Night Train 96ci. Part numbers 80510-17 & 80511-17.

Would like to know if they'll fit my 2016 XL1200c (before I go tearing it to bits again).

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers

    Pedro

PS Don't know why the pic is upside down have rotated it and reloaded but still ends up this way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never heard of it. I wouldnt bother. You will need to get it remapped even if they did. If your after noise,( which im assuming thats all ) either way the bike will run different till you get it tuned again and that aint cheap unless you know someone that has a map tuner and is willing to do it for free. Ride it as is and save for a bigger bike.

The question was will they fit. I realise it will have to be remapped etc. but would like to know if they'll fit.

As far as noise goes it would be nice to get even with the neighbours and their stupid doof doof music.

If I wanted a bigger bike I would have got one. I've been riding for over 40 years and am tired of pushing a 320+ kilo monster around to get it in and out of the shed.

I agree with lucifer_mr2 Sporties are fun and I have a great time riding mine with my mates, Guys who ride street glides and road kings. Around town it leaves them for dead and on the open road where the road king tops out at 160 or so I can easily keep up with them.

    SPORTIES ARE FUN INDEED.

    No, the mounts are different.
Yes, provided you are happy making brackets, etc.
Dunno how they look when fitted, are the shotgun mufflers the same length?

Tearing it to bits? Less than 30 minutes work to find out.

Straight bolt on ? No chance

Most brands of slip on mufflers are actually the same length muffler body/baffle system , just with different brackets.

What I mean is , all Screamin Eagle's ,are the same internally for the same year , all Khrome werks etc etc same same.

What varies is the bracketing. Good mate of mine liked the khromewerks on my 2008 Softail Custom.

He got a Dyna set and fitted them to his 1993 Heritage nostalgia , had to fabricate brackets , but they fit now and look real good.

He does have a rather spiffy home workshop/garage , and makes all kinda stuff. Made his own Backing plate etc to use a Holden round K&N filter on the same Heritage

Oh and he's 61 , retired and has loads of time ( single he is , all the time in the world haha...)
