During a few beers a mate recons he had a mate who had a carpetbagger hog 
Its was in reference to the bags on a bagger 
Carpetbager anyone heard of this expression before 

maybe referring to a MOO GLIDE.

Isn't it just a Bagga with Carpet covered bags?

He was saying" the panniers" from what I recall of the conversation tappered down at the ends a bit swish 
I am not taking the piss..... its a alice springs thing {carpetbagger } 
But yer would like to know was there a look for the touring big bikes called the carpetbagger
