Chasing a V&H Short shots or Big Radius (in chrome pref.) for a Sportster. Need the two O2 sensor ports, I have a 2013 1200 Custom.

How much are you looking to spend ?

Not really sure mate...and still on the fence about the pipes. People I talk to who do longer kms ask me not to get the pipes, says too loud to have it blaring over a long trip
Well the Short shots chrome sell for around $700 AUD brand new, so I was thinking around the $300 mark depending on condition etc if its couple of years old. I like the Short shots over Big radius.


Also, am now looking for Mustang wide touring seat...the stocks hurt if I ride over 100k trips Might change the handle bars to a 10inch ape along with it. If I do these, then the pipes might have to wait. Do you like your short shots? Done any long trips with them on?

Yeah mate short shots ok ok but loud. I got quite baffles. They are better but still some noise.

To be honest i would get slip ons if i could afford it. S&s tapered. They look like the stoch exhaust but sound better. And flow good apparently.

With hds its hard to put on any exhaust wuthout it being loud

I already have screaming eagle slip ons on mine along with screaming eagle intake. They do sound fine but not sure about any performance. With my other bikes, the main constrain were the stock headers.

For sportsters the hradder pipes are good its the mufflers which need changing

Hmmm might keep my Screaming Eagle slip ons then.

Go s & s tapered turbo mufflers they are the best i hear if you dont want too quiet and too loud. Supposed to be a happy medium

Thanks for the offer mate, but I might delay my exhaust upgrade. Getting the bars, grips and seats changed for now.
