About 95% there, on pulling the trigger on a new CVO, I just have trouble with those pig ugly leg fairings that you can't remove due to the water cooled heads radiators.

Great looking bike .... I am with you with the lowers for the twin cooled on the 114 CVO ,,, But thats the way they come .... Life is full of compromises !!!!!!! I dont think it will take much to go the extra 5% ..!!!!

Anything CVO is a beautiful thing , Lofty, and these new M8's are bloody brilliant. Colour is personal........ as I found out!

I'm with Lofty on this one, I reckon the lowers spoil the look of the bike.

It looks like a Granny glide from the front and a Street Glide from the rear.

I saw one of those, in that colour, in the dealer the other day. TBH you don't pay too much attention to the lowers as the eye is drawn to other areas of the bike. In saying that though, eventually you will want to drink in every separate part, and then they will stick out.

If it is an area you don't favour however, your eye will keep noticing them. I didn't really notice them or think them as odd or out of place: the bike is simply a joy to look at.

Once you have ridden with Lowers in the pissing rain you will appreciate them, most don't ride in the rain though.

I seen a post on the American HD Forums where old mate moved the reservoir for the radiator from the right hand lower to inside the right hand side cover next to the ABS unit. To date he hasn't experienced any issues. He then got the HD speaker mounts and put speakers in the lowers. i know this doesn't solve your problem but it could be an option.

I think this colour hides them a bit better, 6 months wait for the orange one, whereas I can get this one straight away.

I think you're right, they're not as obvious (not in the photos anyway).

Yep, Slate it is. On its way from Sydney as we speak. Anyone want to buy a 143 cube S&S motor?

Well done LB. Good choice. Where can all the South Aussies who voted on the correct colour meet you for a test ride.

Nice Lofty - Can't go wrong with either of those bikes.

There'll be a couple new bikes to ogle over next time we all get together for a run.

Nice choice Lofty. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on it after you've done a few K's.

As far as the lowers go, I think they definitely look a little awkward but I think I'd get over it.
