Just about to pull the trigger on a private sale HD, I have chosen off the net. Would like to ask you mob is it safe to put the cash into this mans bank.
Then just organize a bike transporter to pick up and drop of ?
This sounds very risky do people do this

    Thanks heaps bloodog

I would never buy anything of reasonable value without seeing it myself or having somebody I trust look at it whether it be a friend, rello or via an independent pre purchase inspection. Or you could ask for somebody here to have a look for you. And I wouldn't go depositing any money into someone's bank account when you haven't seen the bike or seen/met the person unless you're prepared to risk throwing money away. In addition to the above, a revs check will let you know if it's stolen, ever been written off or if it's encumbered and with whom. Good luck.

Where is the bike located blooddog?? I see your from NT , so no doubt far away ....

Mate , buying privately , you want the deal to be done with no dramas at all , ie, all question answered to your satisfaction etc ....
I have bought sight unseen ,, but that was a late model bike through a dealer , (a lot different ) ....

If you have not got a good mate that could do the deal, money wise, and check the bike over, my only other advice would be to negotiate, (in the sale price), a one way airfare, (or part of it), to where ever the bike is, and ride her home, if everything is to your satisfaction .... It is a buyers market !!
The person your thinking of buying from could be a Saint ,,, But depositing money to an unknown private persons account, for a vehicle of any type, scares the shit out of me ......

    Awsome thanks
So I am going to start a new topic ... asking for any W.A. lads if they could check the bike out for me
If they live close to the seller so on
Lets see how things go I will make the topic "looking for a perth lad to inspect a bike please"

    Thanks again

Mate, go and check it out. Even if it takes a week. How many weeks do you have to work to buy this bike. I was caught out doing what you plan to do and it was from a Dealer. Cost me over 5 Grand to sought it out.
    Just be careful.

Good stuff blood dog. Rocker has same frame, swingarm and rear wheel size as breakout anyway. You gonna truck/trailer it home or fly over and ride it back? You'll have to post up some pics

Try Bikes Only, might be easier to get it to Port Augusta and then ride it to Alice.

The seller rang the transport company on fryday they told him if you can get the bike here before 5 oclock it will go tonight
He got straight onto it and sent me this photo to me by 4 oclock
Glad I was not buying a jap bike it probably would still be sitting out side in the rain getting bird shit on it

Well done BD. Glad a bit of good luck coming your way. Bike looks great. Very sturdy looking carry crate. Unwrapping it will be an exciting christmas present for you. Cheers and all the best.

Bike arived and is awsome very happy ....Let the work begin, I pulled out the baffle to day and sounds obuoshis / awesome
Runs a bit ruff ....poping gurgling sloppy desel and that is after I and because I opened up the pipes, Would love lushy to have a bit of time with the bike but he's 1500 ks away
    Looks like brand new
    Brakes are very average
I Hate the bars and will replace them with risers and flat bars
front end is shitty { on the list } can not comment on the back end until the front is set up nice
    very cruzy to ride
The deal was sweet and thanks heaps to a very decent bloke that sold the bike in perth
The rocker is not so ugley in real life but I have always been a rocker fan
