Just thought I'd put this up... a mate is going to the Himalayas in July next year for a few days, riding an Enfield up the Gata Loops to Leh with a tour group.

Looks like a good ride, but at 4,000 - 5,200metres it might get a little on the chilly side.

I thought about doing that trip (or one similar) but with my (mild) heart condition and ex smokers lungs I'm pretty sure that the altitude would be too much for me.

So me and our oldest are looking at doing the Ho Chi Minh trail on motorbikes instead.

A good mate did it a few years ago and had a ball. 

Having ridden in India I can tell you its absolute mayhem..........but fucking beautiful up in that part of the world.
