Gday guys i miss having tunes while touring on my road king, before this bike i had a street glide and it was brilliant on the boring long straight roads..I dont like ear plugs or putting anything in my helmet so was wondering if anyone has used or seen the Harley Boom Audio Cruiser windshield mounted amp and stereo..It looks good on paper and youtube but ive yet to see anyone with one to see what theyre like myself..Can anyone give me any direction on this..thanks very much..Dave..

I know you said you don't like anything in your helmet but I'm sold on a good blutooth system paired to the phone. They are discrete and need not push against your ears. Because the speaker are close to your ears, the volume doesnt have to be that loud.

Wear good earplugs (really important to save your hearing) to stop the wind noise, hear your tunes, get the occasional telephone call (or not), gps instructions and communicate with other ride buddies.

A colleague has a handlebar mounted stereo system but it's an added weight and distraction.

    Good luck

no probs, thanks for the info, but im just after the tunes, i dont take my phone with me, i like getting lost so no gps and listening to my riding buddies well they yabber on enough in the pub so i dont want them in my ear while im riding..id rather not put anything in my helmet cos i like to know whats happening around me so i prefer the stereo idea..

Maybe install fairing lowers onto your crash bars and put 6.5 inch speakers into them. And run a headunit and small class d amp in one of your bags. Can mount a head unit controller on the handlebars.
