Geeze you picked another good (bad?) date to go on this run Ralphski. Looks like next weekend might end up being on the cooler side.

I have to withdraw as well mate, massive appologies.

The new bike won't be ready until next Friday, and the Lowrider is getting work done.

All the best Tim. It's a terrible thing that most don't know about. Hopefully yours is mild and can be sorted out with diet as opposed to surgery and removal of sections

I,m really sorry Ralph , and everyone else , that I am just not up to attending this weekend .

My recent turn of bad health has left me very weak and I feel that pushing myself this weekend is probably not for the best . Enjoy everyone , catch up soon .

Warm start to the ride, left home around 14:00 in bright sun, no dramas till after Pt. Augusta when the traffic picked up, almost hit by the wife's jacket is it flew of the back of her tricycle, sent her on to the tin man as I went back to get it.
Trying to catch her up in 20k's, 4 police cars going north. Beware tomorrow.

A drink at the roadhouse then sweaty jacket back on, cruised down to Pt. Wakefield arriving at 18:00, still a fair bit of traffic.
Grabbed a room at the motel, $110 for a good side room with the normal treats and free wifi.

Meal at the Rising Sun hotel around the corner, not to bad prices, beef ribs (2) 'Tatars and salad for me, chicken snitsel and salad for the missus, then she wins $100 ?? on the pokies to make it a free tea. Couple drinks then the short walk back to the room.

Relaxing evening, bit of 20/20 and traditionally "christen" the room ??
Sleep in till about 09:00 then over for breakfast and wait for the rest of the crew

Just a quick update. Met Bob, Wingers, Ralphski, Kingchops and Roady at the Caltex at 9.45am to ride with them to Port Wakefield. They were suitably generous with their praise for the new tourer. Thanks gents. We got underway and there was a little bit of rain which soon cleared and we had an uneventful run to Pt Wakefield where we fueled up. Met Soapbox and Wendy and those folk continued on their way in quite good weather while I came home.

It was fantastic on the open road and I really wished I'd packed an overnight bag. I could have kept riding all day and it would have been great to have a drink with the forumites at Port Victoria tonight.

Hmmmm....said to Jen last night that maybe I'll ride to Pt Wakefield with da boys and had I known Steelo was going to do so I would probably have made the effort. It sucks riding through the city to get there though.

Don't be too tough on yourself spook. I thought about it on Friday night and only decided to go when I got up and saw the weather wasn't too bad.
