    G'day fellas,

Looking for some gearbox info. Have a Pan trike fitted with a 4 speed box, I want to incorporate  reverse gear into it. Apart from fitting an early big twin 3 speed and reverse into it,which I dont have, I am wondering what other options I may have?I have an early VL box here but does not have a reverse fitted, was wondering if anyone knows if reverse can be fitted to this case , similar to the WLA type gearbox where it was only 3 speed but all you had to do was fit a reverse cluster and a few other bits to make it 3 sp/reverse?

Failing that, if it isn't an option, can a late model 5 or 6 speed box be fitted to the frame that has the 4 speed in it now? May be easier to go this way and fit a reverse kit that IS avavilable for these boxes.

The other query is does any one know if there was ever a reverse kit made for a early 4 speed box?

Hoping someone can give me an answer. Had the trike for over 35 years now and would like to get it back on the road. It started off as a Servicar but it was a bit slow for me so I fitted the Pan motor, that certainly fixed the slowness problem.

    Regards

    Mickey

Thanks for the info, from what I have read, it is the Revtech that isn't the best and , yes, the front brake is about as handy as the ashtray on it .The Baker stuff might be the go, I'm thinking, but will keep looking anyway
