    Hi all,

i have a 2016 fatbob, just going on a year old. the black paint is starting to peel off the top of my forks  when i wash it. at first i thought i had a small stone chip, but this is on both forks now. there is some orange peel around the top of the fork. has anyone else struck this and what was the results like from harley?

My forks aren't even painted and they did the same thing within the first 3 months of owning the bike??? I ride the bike in all weather conditions but it is always washed and garaged. Bit of a worry for a new bike I reckon. Fortunatley HD replaced the fork legs under warranty. I came from Triumph to HD and had heard so much about the superior quality of HD paint and chrome - I dont think so.

Hey big thanks for the replies. Harley didnt even need to see it, they just said theyll replace them in a week when the new ones come in. Oil from the seals wrecks the paint ,very common  fault ,mmmmmmmmmmm. its clearly going to be an issue after warranty...ill keep you posted.

Strip them and they polish up good, but will need polishing regular, or go chrome
