    Pauly ....

Do you enjoy being the ( fat ? ) controller ?

HH, I don't want to take away from your need for information, but some HI-Jinks, never goes astray ?

Unless the ( fat ? ) controller, says so ?

I was told that the general big bore kits have been always kind of hit and miss.

The barrels and pistons come from the factory with no matched set indication, ie these barrels have not been specifically machined to fit these pistons therefore the clearances are just a fluke if they are correct.

Sounds like you got a miss, and good on your bloke for picking up on it before the money started to run away on your nice new project in an avalanche of being disgruntled.

A shop in town told me the best way to go the big bore was to get the pistons and then machine out your barrels to the right tollerance. More costly but ultimately more sensible.

Look forward to seeing a pic of the new bike.

Most of these kits 110 & 117, the cylinders need honing from new, i know mine did. and was told most need it.

Part of email from Harley heaven.

I apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I have placed your order and we have carried out the required check’s on the barrels & piston’s. Unfortunately as is the case with most...yours are also out of speck. You Pistons & Cylinders have been sent to S.E.R for honing, they
will take about 1 week to be returned.

Hh, sounds good and bet you can't wait for exhaust, run in and tune. What cams are in it and what choice if any did you have with this kit?

The Bobcat looks good but I don't think it is enough pipe for your 110 mods.

I have a mate who has a 120R in his Breakout and the Bobcat is a chokepoint

I checked the D&D site at the time and I recall the Bobcat was rated for engines up to 103"

I have just tuned a 2008 Nightrain for the recently installed 110 cube kit. A real nice one owner from new job , super clean bike

( A local Indy shop did the 110 kit fitting , not me, that's not my bag y'see !)

Bike arrived on a trailer , running pig rich , black smoke on accel..

Flashed it /reflashed it using original SERT ( the up to 2008 unit !) , still pig rich..rough idle , just sounded , well "sick"...

I dig a wee bit deeper , and lo and behold it has a Power Commander 3 still plumbed in and I'm tuning on top of it.

Unplug-a- fucking-rama , O2 sensors hooked back up and suddenly she's apples mate...Thankfully it was a Softy , PC3's come out easy , Dynas can be a real wankfest..

Bloke is delighted ( he's an "older" bloke , like me haha...)
