Hi all, looking at sending my bike to europe as want to use it to travel around most of european countries.

Has any member already done this? What, who and how is required to go about it? From what I understand, I can get a 12mth permit which could be extended, place a bond as its not being imported into europe and obtain a european TPI.

If anyone has gone through this process could you please outline the procedures, pitfalls and recommendations of who does this (was thinking Air freight)

    Any info greatly appreciated.

Speak to Dave Milligan from Get Routed, he has been doing Europe (and other) bike shipping since before my hair was grey.

He's an honest guy but shipping to Europe isn't cheap.

Yea, know what yr saying there speedy....been living there on n off for past few years, but had bike (s) here in Aus. I've eliminated all except the old softail as storage, rego n insurance were a bit out of control. Now will be in europe fulltime for nxt couple of years and didn't want to part with this one.....lots $ spent on it. So the mathematics works for taking this one over and flogging it......rebuilding thru winter etc.
