Looking for gasket kit for a 2010 Dyna cam change including rocker covers etc...Are they all the same or is there better quality ones out there as the prices seem to vary a fair bit as well..

James and Comit are the best. Get MLS for the heads as they last forever

My motto is if it's hard to get to and cheap enough, replace it while you're there.

James gaskets are inferior, used to be ok, pushrod "o rings"shit, and over priced.

Genuine rocker cover and timing cover gaskets are superior to any aftermarket and often less expensive than James or Cometic. About $30 all up.

Use one of the online parts sources for the part numbers if you don't trust the dealer and all will fit in an envelope (with a cardboard sandwich) which will be cost effective to post.

Don't worry about replacing the pushrod cover o-rings, they usually can stand a few remove and replace exercises.

Cometic mls head gaskets, genuine everything else, the only one I have reused is primary gasket with a bit of sealant on it.
Have reused that about 4 times now no leaks.

I wouldn't reuse cam cover gasket purely because my pipes are in the way so not worth the risk

James are pretty good. I try to stick to aftermarket because some of these gaskets go way back according to the models they will fit. I bought some genuine valve stem oil seals from the dealer because I wrecked a couple from my James top end seal kit. I thought the rubber felt a bit rigid but installed them. The OEM seals failed almost immediately. These seals fit all models from 1984 up to 2003 on the sportsters. I think maybe these were made in 1984 and were so old they were useless. Ordered new James seals (nice soft blue rubber mmmm!), put them in and perfect. No more smoke. Buyer beware of deteriorated OEM stock that could be up to 30 years old.
