Bit Late, I think you might have only been compareing the switchback to the softy at Idle, as switchy rubber mount softy counder balanced, but once they are runing out on road runing they feel smooth. i always go for power to weightif the bike has same motor but weighs a lot more, its like carrying a load feels slacker. but thats not your issue, what you need to do is test ride, there is no way anyone can tell you whats better for you, or what seat or bars. only way to find out is ride the bike for an hour or so. but you got the Softy so try to make that suit you, but before changing seats and bars see if u can ride another bike with same seat & bars to check you like it. All the late model bikes feel hot to me seem to run at very high temp.

I have a reduced reach seat if you want to try. if your happy then you could make me an offer. I am 6 foot and had to change the seat and also installed beach handle bars. .ended up with original fat boy seat and works well for me.
