Just got one of these from eBay and played around with the light to see how it fits.

Anyone been able to put these in as per the instructions ? I can't quite picture how it's suppose to be fitted

used something similar at one point. basically you gotta unbolt the entire headlight and remove the existing ring that holds the lamp in place. the ring goes round from behind the headlight assembly (that's why you gotta unbolt it) and then you can bolt it back up and just screw the grill into the ring.

Yep pretty easy ,1 / you will need to first remove the front bolt of the tank ,lift the front of the tank up and place a rolled up towel to lift it up and not damage the tank
2/ follow the wire at the back of the headlight back , it will finish just under the tank from memory .
    3/ unplug
    4/ remove the headlight
    5/ remove the headlight housing
6/ thread the head light wire through the new headlight ring ( ring sits on the back)
7/ Screw front grill to headlight ring from the front

Put all back the same way you took off
Should take you 20 minutes or a couple of beers
    Have fun

Did you guys do this on a Nightster ? The Nightster has the eyebrow thing that doesn't seem removable. So putting the new headlight ring from the back stops it

hahaha yeah you unbolted the wrong thing mate. i'm assuming by your last post you've got it now but yeah that little circle thing hides a big bolt that the headlight mounts to.

Yeah I had no idea their was a bolt under the cap that you pop out. All is good now. I'll post some pics up tomorrow.
I've just relocated the speedo, indicators, lens tinted them also, blacked out forks and now this grill.

Sorry for reviving this one, but I'm looking at doing the same thing. I can't find anything on the legalities of a grill on a headlight. Plenty on tinting etc obviously. Any thoughts on legalities of this, or just for for it? :p

    Cheers.
