Can anyone suggest a good glue to use on rubber against alu that gets hot + hot + hot, oily and petrol(y) at times?

Got a new jiffy rubber buffer for my shovel, but when I tried to peel off the protected paper exposing the sticky side it turned out to be 100% dry with no glue what so ever - So now trying to figure out what the best glue to use when attaching this rubber buffer

As most probably are aware, the primary case cover gets pretty hot and is subject for oil, grease & petrol at times so I need something that would work on the rubber as well as the alu cover (not chromed)

    cheers

Sikaflex polyurethane adhesive. Sika Supergrip 30 has a temperature rating to 100C.
There's also Sikaflex product used in auto body repair ( I can't remember the #), a good panel beating shop would likely give you a little to use.

Depends if you want the glue to be permanent. If so I reckon superglue is as good as anything.
There is an ad on the TV selling some shit that needs Ultra Violet Light to set it off. Apparently it is good enough to tow a ute around Australia.
Its not a glue but a "LIQUID WELD" But wait, there is more! If you buy one tube they will send you another tube for FREE!
You can send the other tube to me ghosty for being so helpful.

If you clean both sides well, good old high temp black RTV silicone should do it.

sika flex 252, i think is the code.used to bond bus bodys to the frame.not sure on the heat rating and prolonged exposure to petrol probably wont do it any good, but it might do the job.
