Hey All --- Curious about purchasing a solo brawler seat for my 2006 Wide Glide.

My bike is standard with 12" mini apehangers.

Ive heard they make you sit more "in the bike" and sit you back a bit further.

Understandably they would be more uncomfortable can anyone add any further info on this one.

    Cheers-----------Dan

I recently looked at the same seat for my street bob. Loved the look of it but that same afternoon I stumbled across a Danny Gray Buttcrack gel seat. Very similar price and in my opinion the quality is not comparable between the two. Danny Gray is a beautiful seat and for a low profile seat, again in my opinion, very comfortable. It is quite firm but the gel layer seems to mould itself around you for an even pressure across your whole butt. That being said it is not a touring seat. I will do hours on it at a time but I would imagine some guys would prefer a more touring seat for the longer days. I did not put the brawler on my bike but it is very similar design and if so it will put you slightly more into the bike and back a little as the Danny Gray did on my bike. I have heard that the Brawler was modeled off the Danny Gray seat and may have even been made by him at some stage but that is no longer the case. If you put them side by side you will see what I mean. I will post up some photos to have a look. The underside is a nice touch also. Fiberglass pan and fully carpeted to protect your bikes paintwork.

Cheers---thanks for that info---I did forget to mention Im of average height 178cm and find my legs and arms slightly bent so it wouldnt hurt to open the riding position up a bit more.

As well Ive been reading reviews on the LePera Bare Bones solo seat, they sound ok, I can get one of these for around $340 delivered.

daccadan - the new brawler seat on the Lowrider S is very comfortable and pushes you forward. It has some real lower back / bum support and i was shocked that HD had actually built a seat that you could sit on for more than 1 hour. Go sit on a LRS in a showroom and check it out. I rate mine (but have bought a le pera daytona ) to go 2 up. This is cut like the Brawler but handles two bums in comfort.

Thanks for the input---I took my standard 2 up seat off the other day and noticed 4 rubber blocks underneath that were glued on to the fender.
I dont know if these are from the factory or not???
Curious if I remove these will re-fitting the standard seat fuck my paint work up.
Its going to take some work to polish the fender so I can show it off---but Harley paint usually restores pretty well

i wouldnt remove the blocks - i dont think they will get in the way of any seat you put on. They dont effect my Daytona. My brand new LRS had scratches all over the tops of the battery cover due to the factory seat. I cleaned them up and put some stick on pads from Bunnings to stop the scuffing. Go well.

Yes only take the blocks off if you are going solo permanently.

Also consider the Mustang Wide Tripper, I've had a few now and been super pleased with the looks, comfort and quality.
