My XR1200 is Misfiring & Breaking Down at Top End Wondering if anyone has some Advice for me

Plugs are new/ air filter fuel filter Not using a Fuel Tuner Yet but looking into one
Have Just Found out that these bikes factory have a rev limiter on them that kicks in at
around 7000 - 7500 RPM which explains why low and mid rang is perfect
Only happens when full top end Range - I am Looking to A Power Commander

Don't think you would need to rev past 7500 as it would not be making power probably go quicker short shifting at 6,000 6,500

so it was only breaking down when you hit 7,500? & was runing perfect below 7,500?

 

I would check plugs first sounds like a dodgy one. Very cheap check for a few bucks .
